Steadfast, Immovable

While at a friend’s house, she showed me a dove who was faithfully sitting on a nest located in a garden planter.

The dove sat quietly as she looked at me—that odd looking person with a black box in her hand, coming ever so close.

As my camera and I visited her for a few brief moments, I captured a precious scene.

A scene of commitment.

A scene of love.

Who told the dove to sit on her nest?

God gives the animals instructions like that.

We, as believers, need to be committed to doing what God asks us to do.

We need to be steadfast…

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Let Me Hear

It was early morning yesterday when I went to my friend’s house.

After my visit, I drove to the end of her street and turned around near a pasture.

The sun was low in the sky as it was glowing across the grass and trees.

Two horses stood serenely behind the fence.

I was blessed to see such a peaceful landscape—a gift from God.

Let me hear in the morning of Your steadfast love,
    for in You I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to You I lift up my soul.
