For I Am Lonely

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

—Psalm 25:16

Who are those that are lonely?

The ones in need so deeply inside

They’re mixed in crowds

yet still, they hide

Who are those that are afflicted?

The ones so burdened with pain

They blend in around us

But the hurt continues to remain

It is not known to their hurting hearts

That God would take them in

Who are those that could tell them?

It’s you and I, my friend

turn to me

All Your Worries

He sat there so lonely looking.

I wonder what he was thinking?

You’ve probably heard someone say before, “You look like I feel….”

I think I have felt like this animal looks.

Alone.

Sad.

Tired.

Maybe even worried.

1 Peter 5:7 encourages us with these words:

Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

When we feel like this animal looks, we can turn to God for help.

He is always there with us, able to comfort us in whatever situation we may find ourselves.
