Here is the ocean, vast and wide, teeming with life of every kind, both large and small.
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
I saw Him sitting on a plant in our front flower garden area.
A leaf hopper perched out in the open, fully camouflaged.
His wings were like green leaves, even with dead and brown looking edges and spots.
With legs that mimicked tiny branches, he was well disguised.
I marvel at creatures like this.
There might be those that say that his kind evolved in such a way as to look at their surroundings and match them in their appearance in order to evade would-be attackers.
For me, I can only conclude that God, the Creator, made this magnificent insect to look like the environment around him for protection.
He created everything.
The day and the night are Yours. You set the moon and the sun in their places.
Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.
What is the picture of below?
The tops of mushrooms?
A microscopic view of bacteria?
Just by looking, it’s hard to tell.
So many things in this world have similar shapes and contours.
God created all that we know in a way that pleased Him.
All that we know…
In addition, He created all that we do not know in a way that pleased Him.
What we see is only a small portion of God’s great creation.
Our generation has been blessed with seeing so much of it.
It wasn’t that long ago when no one had EVER seen what the earth looked like from space.
Now, with a simple application on a smart phone, even a young child can look at any spot on earth as viewed from space.
So, what is the picture of?
A sea creature in an aquarium.
God’s works are truly to be marveled at.
Every creature God has made has its own beauty.
Every fish, every bird.
Every animal that walks the earth.
Genesis 1:24 reads:
Then God said, “Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each producing offspring of the same kind–livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and wild animals.” And that is what happened.
When I look at an animal’s face, I see the face of a living being that God made.
Give thanks to Him who made the heavenly lights–His faithful love endures forever.
Having a heart full of praise.
Having a heart full of devotion.
To recognize God’s faithfulness.
To know of God’s love deeply within your soul.
All praise belongs to God!
I photographed the most magnificent bird today.
The mix of colors displayed in his sleek feathers was captivating.
God has made such beauty in our world!
How many are Your works, LORD! In wisdom You made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In His hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.”
When I saw the bird with it’s long flowing head feathers, I immediately began to photograph him.
How beautiful he was!
Ruby colored eyes and a long, sleek beak.
He was tall, with black feathers closely hugging his neck.
When I look at creatures God has made, I marvel at His works and I am blessed by the privilege of seeing them.
I was thinking today about people.
So often, we look at ourselves in a negative way.
We don’t feel as if we are worth much.
We think of ourselves as unattractive and unimportant.
What if—just for consideration—birds were the most intelligent beings on the planet with minds like people and all people had the minds of birds?
Just think of how the birds would look at us!
They might take a photograph and say,
“Look at that human! He’s beautiful! He has clear, brown eyes and sleek black hair. He has such a kind looking face.”
“Look at that human! She’s perfect! Red hair and eyes of blue. Look! I think she’s smiling at us!”
We forget that God has made us in a wonderful way.
Just look at us!
We stand tall.
We have fingers that do fine motor skills.
We run and jump.
We speak and sing.
We have hair!
And beautiful eyes!
If another creature had a mind like ours, they would see us as wonderful creations of God.
Why don’t we see ourselves that way?
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, along with the seas and everything that swims in them!
I live only an hour and a half drive from the ocean.
Tonight, while visiting friends far away from my home, we went to “their” ocean–the one not far from their home.
It was evening when we arrived.
The moon was high in the night sky and the rolling, white waves crashed on the sand before me.
It was a shoreline I had never seen, but it was God’s.
Tonight was just the night that He was allowing me to experience another beautiful part of His creation.
All praise belongs to God.
The water from the ocean crawls relentlessly up onshore, traveling with intensity and force.
In a moment, as though it had specific orders to do so, it stops–and returns to the vast sea from which it came, leaving behind evidence of its short presence there.
Often, ripples form in the sand.
Intriguing and magnificent, mathematical and perfect; ordered, yet chaotic.
If I could take a photograph of the shore just after the recession of a wave and then measure each ripple with great accuracy, what would I find?
The numbers would certainly show God’s design–a picture of His Divine calculation.
The sand between my toes, the feel of the ripples left behind.
The sensation of cool water passing over my feet.
These are grand testimonies of the power and creativity of the Maker of the universe.
Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be recounted in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

As I walked into the grocery store to pick up a last minute item, I saw a display of fresh flowers for sale.
Stopping to admire the colorful blooms, I found many varieties producing a delightful visual fanfare.
Everywhere I turn, God’s creations tell of His greatness!
What a wildly wonderful world, God!
You made it all, with Wisdom at your side,
made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.
