The Spirit of God has made me,
and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
As I walked over the wooden bridge, I paused to watch a small turtle surfacing in the water below me.
With his little neck stretched up into the air, he was sustaining his life as he took a breath.
It pleased God to make turtles, as it pleased Him to make all His creatures.
He designed this particular type to have the need to come up for air every now and then.
Air gives us life, as well.
If we cease to breathe, we cease to live.
Yet, if we did not have God’s breath in us, we would never have existed.
It is God who gives and sustains our lives.
