This past Sunday morning on my way to church, I saw a hot air balloon in the distance.
I quickly got my camera out and began to photograph this simple marvel of flight, floating along above the lake.
When I came home from church, I looked online at a social media site.
There, I read that the parents of one of my son’s good friends were celebrating their anniversary by taking a hot air balloon ride.
As it turns out, I actually knew who was in the basket under the balloon!
Although I am not sure where they traveled, I do know one thing—God was with them.
In fact, no matter where they could’ve gone, He would have been there.
We cannot ever leave His presence.
Psalm 139:7-10 reads,
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
