The rainbow was so dazzling, I just had to stop, get out of the car and photograph it.
The sun was going down and the radiant glow of colors was magnificent.
When God makes a promise, He never breaks it.
After the waters of the great flood had receded, God spoke to Noah and his sons, giving them instructions.
As He spoke with them, He told them of a covenant.
A covenant with humans and also with living creatures on the earth.
“I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”
Any promise of God to us will never be changed.
He is faithful.
He is trustworthy.
Will God always forgive those who choose to believe in Him and His Son, Jesus, when they call to Him in repentance and faith?
Will He really never leave us or forsake us?
Is there really nothing that can separate us from His love?
These truths are like promises in the Bible.
If we are feeling doubt or becoming fearful, we can remember that God always keeps a promise— especially when we see the rainbow He sets in the sky.
