Seasons of life.
We cannot escape them, for they are a part of what living really is.
It is easy to wish away certain seasons, wishing to be old enough to have certain freedoms when we are still young and yearning for younger, healthier days when we grow old.
It is God who put the seasons of our lives in motion.
As adults, we are allowed to see our children and get a glimpse of who we once were.
Our children see us grow older and get a glimpse of who they will become.
Each season is a blessing from God and each holds precious moments that can only be experienced in that time.
Whatever season you are in at this moment, consider it a gift.
Are you looking forward into the future from the eyes of a youth?
Are you looking back at life with knowing eyes, savoring memories more valuable than any worldly possession?
Whether your hands are smooth or wrinkled with age, reach out to others with God’s love.
This is the season to live.
Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.
