Driving to work today, I heard a song on the radio.
The singer’s words spoke of waking up in Heaven one day, proclaiming the Name of Jesus.
While we are here on Earth, we have the opportunity to choose Jesus.
We care about what other people think of us—if they love us or respect us.
But, caring about having a relationship with Jesus or not is the most important.
The great love we had for our parents won’t get us into Heaven.
The great love we had for our children won’t, either.
Not even the love we had for our spouses.
The only love that we can have that will be the deciding factor in our eternal destination will be our love for Jesus and the acceptance of His gift of life.
One day, as we enter Heaven, we will be filled with joy as we see those we love who are believers there with us.
Together, we will proclaim the Name of Jesus.
Yours will be the only Name that matters to me
The only One Whose favor I seek
The only Name that matters to me
When I wake up in the Land of Glory
And with the saints I will tell my story
There will be one Name that I proclaim
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, just that Name
(Big Daddy Weave–The Only Name)
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
