Standing on the lawn in front of the old church, I looked up to the sky.
It was nearing dusk, and night would soon be arriving.
Spanish moss hung like bunched lace from the tall oak tree, framing the cross that stands mounted on the rooftop.
Some may walk by the building, noticing it as well, but without understanding its significance.
Others may pass by, scoffing at what faith represents to them.
To those that know Jesus, looking up to the cross brings a reminder of what He did to purchase us back from destruction.
Do you know Him today?
The Bible says, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." —1 Corinthians 1:18
