Stringed Instruments and Flutes

I couldn’t wait for it to come in the mail.

A soothing and lyrical instrument, I had ordered an Irish whistle to play.

Although it looks more like a flute, that is its name.

Being somewhat impatient, I want to be able to play it as well as a professional.

Right now.

But, I can’t.

Beautiful sounds will follow hours of practice and concentration.

I must invest in the skill.

It is my hope to play this instrument in praise to God.

Psalm 50 instructs us to praise Him:

Praise God in his holy place.
Praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his mighty acts.
Praise him for his immense greatness.
Praise him with sounds from horns.
Praise him with harps and lyres.
Praise him with tambourines and dancing.
Praise him with stringed instruments and flutes.
 Praise him with loud cymbals.
    Praise him with crashing cymbals.

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
