Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.–Colossians 4:2
As I was driving down a stretch of highway to pick up a friend for an evening Thanksgiving meal, the sunset was gloriously golden.
It had been a good day to gather with family and to cherish our time together.
The love that we share is unique to us, as other families share a love that is specific just to them.
Only we know the story of our lives as we have grown up into who we are today.
We have witnessed both joy and sorrow as we have embarked on the great unknown of growing older–we, as parents and our children as children.
God is the author of the family.
It was His idea to put it all in place.
With family comes responsibility.
Responsibility to care for one another, physically and spiritually.
It is important to pray for those we love, remaining thankful that God has placed them in our lives.
