Creatures That Move

I honestly do believe that God made everything and that He did so intentionally.

A certain type of caterpillar showed up at our home a week or so ago.

Understanding his mother’s delight in photographing such things, my son carefully brought one inside for me to see.

What a marvelous specimen of beauty and design!

The caterpillar’s LARGE "eyes" were on its bulbous looking head, with highlighted strips running from them down to its sizeable mouth.

Or  were they?

Actually, it only appeared as such.

What looks to predators (and to curious humans like myself) to be giant eyes, are really spots on the skin.

The mouth?

Well, it’s actually the area where the true "face" begins.

In my opinion, God created this caterpillar and all its kind to look this way on purpose.

I think it brought God joy to create.

I think it brings Him joy when we appreciate what He has made.

Intricate and magnificent are His works and we get to see them.

Thank You, God, for all that You have made. Thank You for allowing me to enjoy just a part of Your creation.

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. –Genesis 1:25
