I Will Meditate

It has been a full day.

Many of the things I had set out to do are now accomplished.

What I did not know was that God would speak to me today in a special way.

At the start of the day, I had a concern on my heart.

A friend, not knowing my concern, posted a photo of a page in her Bible online.

I saw the scriptures in the photo and realized that they spoke directly to my concern.

This evening, my husband and I stopped by a grocery store to get just a few items.

I felt the urge to go to the electronics section of the store to look at DVDs.

This would not be unusual, except that I almost NEVER look at videos to purchase.

Tonight was different, somehow, as I was interested in looking.

My husband found a DVD that we had not heard of before. It was based on the scripture that appeared in the photo of the Bible this morning…..

Yes. We purchased it.

Eager to know what God might be saying to me, we came home and watched it.

I am still processing the perspective that God is allowing me to see.

God is at work all the time. He knows my every thought.

He is directing my attention to His word and to His will for the situation that I am concerned about.

I have much to think through and to meditate on.

I am thankful for His guidance and love.

I will exalt you, my God the King;
   I will praise your name for ever and ever.
 Every day I will praise you
   and extol your name for ever and ever.

  Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
   his greatness no one can fathom.
 One generation commends your works to another;
   they tell of your mighty acts.
 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
   and I will meditate on your wonderful works.

—Psalm 145:1-5

    It’s supple leaves were now drooping along bent and fragile stems. It looked nothing like it did when I had first purchased it and set it out.
