It was such a peaceful place, really. I had driven past it many times, never stopping. On this day, however, I had come there purposefully. I came to see what I had only glimpsed in passing.
Quiet water, still and intriguing, mirroring the couds nestled in the blue sky. A solitary dock in the distance with plants emerging from the shallow edge, bending ever so slightly as though to peek at their reflection below.
I liked being there. Hurry and rush were left behind as I simply looked for whatever it was I could see.
When God looks on my heart, what does He notice? When He’s looking for whatever it is He can see?
Proverbs 27:19 reads, "As water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man."
