A few short years ago, the forested land near our home caught on fire. Normal existance was transformed, and acres and acres of trees and plants burned. The eery orange glow that surrounded the community was a constant reminder of the continuing devastation. I watched as trees succombed to the flames; I listened to the crackling sounds coming through the night air.
I recieved a call today while I was out. The news? The wooded land near our home was on fire again.
God would not have me worry over the situation. He is in control. Though fire is consuming, it obeys His voice. Though relentless, it must stop at His bidding.
Are there other things in my life that I am tempted to worry about? Consuming, relentless things?
I must remember…..He is in control.
